Saturday 18th June, University of West of Scotland, 'Hostile Intentions 4'

Sit Ayuthaya's second promotion of 2011 was as ever...SENSATIONAL. Consistently one of Scotland's best Muay Thai events, the sellout crowd were treated to some of the best Muay Thai seen in Scotland this year. Highlights were, on the undercard: Germany's Der Barbar v Ireland's Meleady. Meleady took a points win despite a very 'shaky' final round. Later on the card, France's Laetitia Lambert squared off against Scotland's JoJo Calderwood in what is possibly the best female Muay Thai fight ever seen in Scotland. Calderwood winning by 4th round stoppage. Lastly (and with a hard act to follow), Scottish veteran Stevie Brown faced Thai legend Rungnakhorn Kharnphan in an eagerly anticipated super prestige bout. Unfortunately, Brown retired after the first round with a broken jaw. As always, Fight Sport MC Dougie McAdam would like to thank Stevie Nisbet and his Sit Ayuthaya team for once again trusting him to present their show.

Saturday 4th June, Liquid Nightclub Aberdeen, AMT Fight Night

Fight Sport MC returned to the 'Granite City' on Saturday for Aberdeen Muay Thai's first promotion of 2011. As always, the event was well run, well matched and well attended. Top of the bill was local boy Jamie Macrae in a Scottish Title Defense against Dumfries based Alan Crichton. Jamie retaining his title by stoppage in the opening round. Fight of the night though, unquestionably was Euan Irvine v Mitchell Flett, a sensational B Class match had the sellout crowd on their feet as Euan won by a narrow points margin. This entire event is available to view on www.P4tv.com

Saturday 28th May, Maryport Rugby Club, 'Maryport Dragons Fight Night'

Well, Fight Sport MC Dougie McAdam has presented shows in Football Stadiums, Arena's, Town Hall's, Nightclub's and even a Bull Ring. Saturday night however was a first as he presented Maryport Dragon's fight show...in a tent! A well run event featuring Muay Thai and White Collar Boxing was enjoyed by a sellout crowd. As ever, Fight Sport MC is grateful for the opportunity to present to a new audience.

Friday 27th May, Waterside Social Club, Kirkintilloch, 'Hitman Carrigan Presents'

Friday night saw Fight Sport MC, return to this small but brilliant venue in Kirkintilloch, this time for an action packed evening of White Collar Boxing. Big Congratulations to Ritchie Carrigan on a well run first promotion. Matchmaking, Crowd, Venue all brilliant. As ever, Dougie McAdam would like to thank 'Hitman Carrigan Promotions' for trusting him to present their first event.

Saturday 21st May, Cairndale Hotel Dumfries. 'Charity Fight Show'

Anne Armstrong's hugely popular Dumfries based gym played host on Saturday night at this dinner show. A sellout audience were treated to some explosive bouts under Tae Kwon Do, Karate, WCB, Muay Thai and Kung Fu rules. Over £3k was raised for 'Help for Heroes'. As always, Fight Sport MC Dougie McAdam would like to thank Anne Armstrong for having him present their fight show.

Saturday 14th May, Greenock Town Hall, 'World Celebrity Boxing'

This charity fund raiser in aid of Greenock Morton football club featured a number of well matched White Collar Boxing contests. Top of the bill was Radio Clyde DJ, George Bowie. As always, Fight Sport MC Dougie McAdam would like to thank Iain MacLeod of 'WCB' for giving him the opportunity.

Wednesday 11th May, Marriott Hotel Glasgow, 'An Evening with Joe Frazier'

FIGHT SPORT MC MEETS 'SMOKIN' JOE FRAZIER...
A Gentleman's evening of white collar boxing featuring former World Heavyweight Champion Tim Witherspoon. Some cracking bouts for the pleasure of the five hundred strong crowd was rounded off with a fascinating question and answers session (hosted by Dougie McAdam) with the boxing legend and 'Hall of Famer'...'Smokin' Joe Frazier. Charismatic and humorous, 'Smokin' Joe will always be remembered for his three epic battles with the great Muhammed Ali.

Friday 6th May, Base MT Fight Night, Grangemouth Town Hall.

An absolutely packed out Grangemouth Town Hall played host to this mostly novice promotion from the team at Base Muay Thai. Top of the bill were two B Class contests, first up was Colloseum Gym's Andy Millar versus Caledonian MT's Brian Tottie.
A fast paced and explosive start from both fighters saw much of the action being inside 'the clinch'. Both fighters exchanging powerful knees in this (by far the evening's most technical) bout. By Rnd 3 however it seems Brian's knees had taken the fight out of his opponent who retired from the contest.
Next up was Base MT's Kevin Healy versus fife based powerhouse Euan Irvine of Fighting Fit Gym, Kircaldy. A more calculated start from both fighters until Euan began to really let the bombs fly. A strong barrage of head punches in the 2nd brought the final bout to a close as the local boy was unable to beat the referee's count.
Great fights, great atmosphere and as always, Dougie was delighted to be asked to present it.

April 23rd, UK Boxing Alliance, Help for Heroes Charity Dinner, Reebok Stadium, Bolton.

The M6 / M61 is becoming a very familiar road as Fight Sport MC returned to the fabulous Reebok Stadium in Bolton, this time for an evening of boxing.
The 2nd 'UK Boxing Alliance, Help for Heroes Charity Dinner Show' was a smash. Sellout crowd, comedian, singer, saxophonist and six bouts of white collar boxing entertained the masses before attention was turned to the auction which raised over £7k for 'Help for Heroes'.
A guest appearance from current Prizefighter Champion Rocky Fielding was a nice addition and many of the audience took the opportunity to have their picture taken with this future star of boxing.

April 9th, Fight Sport Industries 'Duel @ The Dome'

Fight Sport Industries returned to Doncaster for their second promotion in this venue. An outstanding undercard went on to be topped by the two main event bouts featuring England's very best versus the best of Thailand.
First up was Birmingham's veteran fighter Damien Trainor facing Thai powerhouse, Rungravee Sasiprapa. Damien's slick movement and sharp boxing effective at first served only to awaken the monster inside Rungravee, who then marched down his opponent and thrilled the crowd with his explosive and menacing style. Damien was sensational however, going the distance with this top ranked stadium fighter from Bangkok and although he could not take the win... he should be as proud of himself as his fans are of him.
Next up and truly top of the bill was Leeds' very own thai boxing sensation, Liam 'The Hitman' Harrison in this hotly anticipated rematch with Thai legend and lb4lb king of Muay Thai, Saenchai Sinbimuaythai (formerly Saenchai Sor Kingstar). Five rounds of superb Muay Thai saw Saenchai take a points win but not without having to work for it. Harrison moved forward for five rounds and really pressed the action but Saenchai used his experience to open a small points margin.
While Saenchai and Rungravee may have proved that the best of Thailand still have the edge on the best of UK...Liam and Damien proved that it's not by much!

April 2nd, 'Rising Stars', Kilmarnock Town Hall

It's true that all fighters start somewhere and on Saturday night, that somewhere was Kilmarnock's Grand Hall. An all novice show delivered action packed entertainment to an 800 strong crowd. As ever, Fight Sport MC would like to thank the promoters for once again choosing Dougie to present their show.

March 26th, 'MTB2', Lagoon Centre Paisley

Saturday night saw the second instalment from the MTB team at Paisleys fabulous Lagoon Centre Arena. Over one thousand spectators were treated to the first ever 'Celtic Challenge Cup' featuring three of Scotland's best facing three of Irelands top fighters. The country to secure the most wins would take home the 'Celtic Challenge Cup'.
Ireland took an early lead with a win over Wossobama's Paul Kelly, but a strong performance from Chris Shaw in the next contest brought things all square.
Scotland's fate would fall into the hands of veteran fighter Lloyd Cochrane as he squared off against Andy Grey in a European title decider. A sensational performance from Cochrane bagged him his first European title and ensured Scotland would hold onto the 'Celtic Challenge Cup'... for this year.
Top of the bill however was Scotland's most decorated female fighter Hilary Mack facing Dutch Linda Ooms in a World Title decider. Despite an onslaught of pressure from Linda, Hilary kept her composure and stuck to high scoring game plan which saw her take a comfortable win. Well done Hilary on an outstanding performance against top quality opposition.

March 19th, 'Keddles Gym & FFF Promotions', Romford, Essex

Another sellout show from the team at Keddles Gym. This monster card of twenty six bouts featuring Muay Thai, White Collar Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts pleased the sellout crowd as they witnessed the crowning of new English, British and World Champions. Stand out performances of the day were from Connor Aldis, big sister Bernise Aldis and the currently unstoppable Alexis Rufus.

March 7th, BIG NEWS JUST IN

Dougie has just been confirmed to host a Q&A with boxing legend Joe Frazier. This gentleman's evening will feature a four bout fight night, meal and of course the main event will allow the audience to post their questions to this boxing 'hall of famer'.

March 5th, 'University Challenge', University of the West of Scotland, Hamilton

Another cracking fight show from Sit Ayuthaya's promotional team, this time focussing on the novice / intermediate fighters. A well run event that was filled to capacity was enjoyed by fighters, officials, spectators and even one chubby MC.
Next instalment from Sit Ayuthaya is in June and will focus on the more experienced fighters.

Feb 19th, 'Super Showdown', Clydebank Playdrome

When BC Promotions promised to deliver the biggest Muay Thai event ever staged in Scotland... they were not kidding.
A sellout audience of over one thousand spectators were treated to twelve sensational bouts, both domestic and international. British Superstars Liam Harrison, Damien Trainor and Michael Dicks headlined this event, each facing 'stadium ranked' Thai opponents. It was unfortunate that the Thai's enjoyed a clean sweep on this occasion but nonetheless, the UK fighters really turned in performances to be proud of.

Feb 11th, 'Ultimate Lads / Ladies Night', Easterbrook Hall, Dumfries

Another sell out show from the team at Golden Gloves promotions and this time spread across two halls within Dumfries' premier function venue 'Easterbrook Hall'.
In the main room, the gents were treated to a James Bond themed night with comedy acts, casino and burlesque performances.
Next door, the ladies enjoyed an evening with 'Sex and the City' being the theme. Pink fizz, cupcakes, dance performances, quiz and comedy ensured the ladies were having just as much fun as the gents.
Come 10pm however, everyone came together for two exciting '4 Man' boxing tournaments.
Great idea, great venue, great crowd, great night!

Jan 20th - Feb 7th, Enfusion 'Quest for Honour'

A few weeks in tropical Thailand has got to be a nice way to start what is shaping up to be Fight Sport MC's biggest year yet. Working on the brilliant new fight based reality tv show 'Enfusion' was a great opportunity for Dougie to shine before an altogether new audience.
This year 'Enfusion' focussed on the often overlooked but always explosive 95kg division and some of the worlds most famous fighters were involved including Ramazanov, Roche and Hujtnik not to mention England's very own Julie Kitchen and Arnold Oborotov. 'Enfusion' will broadcast later this year, keep an eye on the site for more details.

Happy New Year everyone!

I would like to thank each and every one of the promoters up and down the country for their continued support through 2010. I look forward to continuing to build existing relationships through 2011 and hopefully begin some new ones too. I wish everyone all the very best for this new year and hope everyone has a successful and prosperous 2011.
